Blog Post #5

Nuclear power is great!

                Thesis: nuclear power has many benefits including but not limited to very are low amounts of pollution (clean), its efficiency is very high, it creates jobs and It’s extremely reliable and makes cheap energy.

I.                    It is clean energy
A.      Very Low greenhouse gasses released (by trucks and releasing energy from uranium)
B.      A nuclear power plant is relatively a small impact to nature as a relatively small plant can power an entire city.
C.      As more and more vehicles are switching to electric motors more electricity will be used and nuclear energy is very cheap and does not harm the environment.
D.      People with electric cars do not realize most of their energy still comes from burning coal. Nuclear energy plants will continue to replace these as fossil fuels become more expensive in the next 200 years.
II.                  It creates jobs and is extremely reliable and makes cheap energy
A. It makes jobs as many people are on site at a nuclear power plant
B. it will support the economy and also inspire more efficient ways of nuclear fission
        III.         there is basically an unlimited supply and it is also very low risk and a natural process
A.      There is an enormous supply of Uranium and it lasts several years
B.      There has been very very few accidents involving nuclear power

C.      Its natural to me, and its not like its going to give everyone cancer, the sun is a nuclear fireball! If we could harness the suns power for a few seconds we would have enough energy for hundreds of years.

Nice outline. The first topic seems pretty lengthy, so be sure to split up your ideas with strong evidence.

Also, what paragraph is going to show the other side of the argument? This should have been added in your outline, as well.

Keep in mind your thesis needs to be a strong statement and complete sentence. Your sentence is a run-on.

Great outline. I never thought about this idea. It seems interesting and maybe this will go on to be a famous essay and you will change the world! You never really know.
